Shapely Tank home stretch
Sep. 5th, 2004 11:54 pmI finished the front and back of the Shapely Tank today, in Polar Icecap, which is notably more blue in real life than it appears in the picture on my screen.
I thought I'd be doomed when it came to finishing the neckline, as my size 5 needles aren't particularly long. They can just about handle the length of the neckline if I do the front and back separately, however.
Maybe it will even be done in time to show it off at
coraline's knitnight on Wednesday (but then I'll need to work on something else!).

Date: 2004-09-06 05:40 pm (UTC)I can't wait to get a chance to see it...
I love the style & shape of it!
I'd love to not only make one of these - but a sleeved sweater in matching yarn to have one of those expensive 'twin sets' made all by myself...
but since I can't read a knit pattern yet, I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself! LOL
a manageable goal!

Date: 2004-09-06 08:59 pm (UTC)I've found that I enjoy it quite a bit, and the repetitiveness of some patterns, like this one, has been a great way to quiet my mind (which I find lately that I desperately need), while still creating something.

Date: 2004-09-11 09:01 pm (UTC)I'm aiming for Imbolc or Ostara...
and will probably aim for a 4-5 day trip, that way I can show my home town off to Scott (& Tabitha - we left when she was so young she doesn't remember much)
Keep an eye out for those *REAL* inexpensive motels for me to bed my lil family down in (ya know... those old Swiss Shalet types $49-$59/night for 2 double beds)
I'm looking forward to sharing New England's idea of seafood with Scott... (he's never had fried clams with the bellies still attached!)
