and she doesn't even have thumbs
Jan. 24th, 2005 01:49 amThe cat managed to unfasten the stitch holder from my partially completed knitted Cables and Lace Cardigan, remove the holder from the 26 stitches it had been holding, and bat it across the room. Thankfully, the stitches hadn't begun to unravel when I caught her and remedied the situation. But damn.
On the plus side, said cardigan is progressing nicely, and the body is nearly done. I should go to Woolcott tomorrow and get size 7 DPNs, so that I can knit the sleeves in the round rather than flat. I've decided that I hate seams.

Date: 2005-01-24 03:45 pm (UTC)The sexy knit top I was working on at FG is done except for weaving in the yarn ends (the part I hate most!), but since it's sleeveless, there hasn't been much opportunity to wear it in recent months. I told myself that if I finished this cardigan, I can wear the tank, and the cardigan over it. If I'm lucky, I will succeed in this task before the weather is actually warm again. :-)
I'd also be happy to teach you to knit, if you're interested. It's not all that difficult.
