The cat managed to unfasten the stitch holder from my partially completed knitted Cables and Lace Cardigan, remove the holder from the 26 stitches it had been holding, and bat it across the room. Thankfully, the stitches hadn't begun to unravel when I caught her and remedied the situation. But damn.

On the plus side, said cardigan is progressing nicely, and the body is nearly done. I should go to Woolcott tomorrow and get size 7 DPNs, so that I can knit the sleeves in the round rather than flat. I've decided that I hate seams.

I once comment to a woman I was dating that it was goodd her cats didn't have opposable thumbs . . . one of them had a thing for TASTING (not eating) human food, especially breadstuffs . . . I came back from Arisia 2003 with a box of cannoli (for which I had gone on a long hunting quest), and found a cat face print in ALL of them the next morning . . .

And then the woman emailed me to tell me they didn't NEED thumbs: they knocked the ceramic jar with the Pounce to the floor once, it didn't break. they did it again, it brookke, and they managed to get the bag opened . . .

But how did they get the ceramic jar back up onto the counter for the second shot? That's the truly impressive part. :-)

Um, that would have been cool.

Guess I neglected to mention that said woman put it back on the counter.

She had a cat which I referred to as a bowling ball with legs . . . 18 pounds . . . Zoya could actually make it to the top of the fridge!
