For those following the saga, the laptop has returned, with its shiny new keyboard and its shiny new combo drive, even though the old ones weren't broken.

I upgraded to Panther, finally. Now for several hours of software installation so I can do the things I need to do.

Well, mostly. They fixed the hard drive, which was the big broken thing. They didn't fix my LRF support, nor my fraying power cable, but I can have those taken care of at the iShrine.
