It's back to the lace drawing board
Jun. 12th, 2006 01:24 pmI'm still angsting about my wonderful laceweight wool/silk yarn not being the right color. I called Village Wools in Albuquerque, and they tell me that they carry that yarn. The very nice woman on the phone was kind enough to get some of the "white" yarn and hold it next to a white piece of paper, and tell me that the yarn is not as white as the paper. Perfect. That's exactly what I want.
They are now measuring off 4 ounces for me, which they will mail to me today. If this were Massachusetts, I'd expect it tomorrow, since it's only travelling an hour. Since this is New Mexico, I expect to have it by the end of the week.
Then I begin the shawl all over again, but that's OK. I will call the first one "a learning experience."
