lindajSo, we saw the movie tonight. It was OK, and a good way to spend Date Night.
Outside the theater earlier in the evening (and therefore outside the mall, because the theater is in the mall), there were protesters who thought it would be a good idea to have their very small children walk out in front of cars and attempt to hand religious pamphlets to people.
I just don't get it.
Eventually, the police drove them off, I think in part because of endangering their children and in part because they were seriously blocking traffic on a busy street.
Frankly, had the small-child protester not endangered her life to try to save my soul or something, it probably wouldn't have occurred to me to go to this movie tonight. Maybe I should track them down and thank them for my pleasant evening.

I suppose if one of their children got killed doing such a foolish thing they'd rationalize it with a) martyrdom and b) God's taken this precious child early for some grand purpose...
This is one of the MAJOR things I really don't get and NEVER got about Christianity.... I never went to that type of church when I considered myself Christian... but still....
